Quietly in love. Two mandarin ducks playing in water

2023 By justmovingaround in Photo Impressions Tags: mandarin ducks, Poland, spring, Warsaw

“Two mandarin ducks playing in water” is a Chinese proverb meaning a couple in love. Mandarin ducks are said to mate for life. In East Asian cultures they are a symbol of fidelity. It was a great pleasure to photograph them while they had been quietly dancing around each other in the water. Seen this week at Wilanow Park (Warsaw).
