Wilanów Palace is a magnificent palace located in the southern part of Warsaw, Poland. It was built in the late 17th century as the summer residence of King Jan III Sobieski. The palace was designed by architect Augustyn Wincenty Locci and decorated by several notable artists of the time, including painters Bernardo Bellotto and Michelangelo Palloni, and sculptors Andreas Schlüter and Baldassare Fontana. The palace’s architecture features a mix of Baroque and Rococo styles. The Palace is surrounded by an extensive garden from one side bordering a lake that through a stream joins the Vistula river.
