A relief on a Roman sarcophagus made in the 2nd century AD telling the story of Medea by the Greek poet Euripides. Medea was a mythical sorceress who murdered her own children to take revenge on her husband, Jason. You can see the Medea sarcophagus in Altes Museum in Berlin in the ancient Rome section.
